Drop

At first, the crowd goes quiet - not because it's boring, but because there's about to be a ‘drop.’ A voice mixed with hoarse laughter clicks to the beat: no girl - just art, pure gold. Pathos? Of course, but with a wink: instead of perfection - character, instead of copies - sharp edges. Each line is like a sign saying ‘don't slack off’: get distracted and your ego takes a hit. Here, they don't shoot bullets, they shoot rhythm; only bass and jaws are allowed to fall. The list of skills includes singing, dancing, breaking ceilings and pulling yourself together. There is only one chance, the real ones are yours, and fate serves the balls to the top line. By the finale, it becomes clear: ‘top’ is not the summit, but a state when your step is light, your back is straight, and luck brings the bats to your sneakers.
