It's like someone's needle got stuck on an old record and it's singing about the same thing again. About the habit of returning to where it already hurts, but it's still cosy. Each chorus sounds like a vow to forget, but the opposite happens: memory dances on the ruins of the past to a rhythm that never gets old. There's a hint of self-irony in this melody, as if it's laughing at how people stubbornly seek novelty just to avoid admitting they love the old. Love, like an addiction without pills, a marathon without an end. And yet, I want to keep listening, as if salvation lies in repetition.
