GIOVANNI

At first, it all seems like an ordinary song about gossip, where one chatterbox knows "everything about everyone." But the further along, the stronger the feeling that something awkward is hiding behind the teasing and ribbing, as if the storyteller themselves is afraid the mirror will suddenly answer. Words are thrown into the air like paper aeroplanes, it seems funny, but in each one, there's a little bit of the core truth flying. And in the end, a joke gives birth to an absurd parade: everyone and everything is suddenly "gay" because it's funnier to admit everyone is than to admit it to yourself. The music is mischievous, almost beachy: as if someone had organised a carnival out of rumours and laughter. The dance floor turns into a small court of public opinion, where judgement is passed on IQOS and sports preferences. But with each line, it becomes clearer that behind the loud laughter is the very Giovanni who seems to have simply grown tired of pretending.
