Unravel

The pulse of light in the darkness is uneven, as if someone is randomly turning a dial. There are too many thoughts, but they all get stuck somewhere between "is it worth it" and "it was all in vain again." It pulls up, then sharply down, as if someone decided to check if the wiring can handle it. And it endures - with creaks and groans, but it lives. There's a strange comfort in that sound: when you fall, you're not alone, but together with the echo of your own doubts. The silence around is thick like smoke, but something is still stirring within it - maybe hope, maybe just a reflex. The world is a little crooked, but it's real. And if you're going to burn, burn beautifully, in rhythm, where even pain sounds almost musical.
