It's painful, silly, awkward at times, but it's real. That's how those who can't blink live - they see everything too clearly, even when they don't want to. There's a weariness from their own mistakes in that sound, and a strange persistence in going against common sense. It's as if love isn't a feeling, but an experiment: how much more time, money, and nerves can you spend before your heart gives up? But he doesn't give up.
