Fiesta

Too loud, too fast, and completely out of place - that's how the night begins, which promised to be ‘just for an hour’ but stretched on until dawn. Everything around is bathed in neon light, as if someone had spilled an energy drink on reality. My body is filled with adrenaline mixed with insomnia, and the air is thick with the smell of sweat, smoke and the certainty that tomorrow, all I will remember is the rhythm.

The music blares, people move as if dancing to escape boredom. The world has narrowed to a moment - here and now, to this ‘fiesta’ where you can forget who does what for a living and just become part of the crazy beat. Everything is temporary, but desperately real. While the music plays, life seems like a party that no one wants to leave.
