Description
The bitterness of resentment is sometimes cured not by forgiveness, but by a good smouldering stubbornness. Here, the ashes are not from a cigarette, but from what was once called love. It turned out to be easier to get burned than to believe again, and now instead of ‘forgive me,’ there is a confident ‘let it burn.’
This story is not about tears, but about an inner fire that asks for no pity. When pain curls into a fist and becomes character. When weakness is smoked away with puffs, and wounds are covered with smoke, leaving no room for pathetic ‘what ifs.’ They haven't gone out - they've just learned to shine differently.
