Dear Grandpa

A warm breeze blows down a dusty road, carrying the scent of old newspapers and wooden clocks that no longer tick. This sound is like a farewell without bitterness, as calm as an evening in an old house, where the ticking of the wall clock has long since merged with the breath of life.

The world outside is collapsing, rumbling, boiling - but inside it is quiet. Someone simply says, ‘Rest. Now you can.’ And in these words there is no pity, no fear - only gratitude and silence, so pure that it seems as if the earth itself is sighing with relief.
