Don't Worry

Sometimes everything around you seems to fade away - people, days, even the sky becomes grey and emotionless, like an old T-shirt after a hundred washes. But there is that voice that says calmly, ‘Don't be afraid, everything will be fine.’ And suddenly you start to believe. Because somewhere out there, an engine is starting up, someone is driving towards you, just to ride through the night city and be silent amid the noise of tyres and rare headlights.

It's like a blanket for the soul - a simple, ridiculously sincere promise: not to leave. Not to save, not to heal - just to be there while the world falls apart. And now it's not scary anymore, even if the sky is falling, because there is someone with whom you don't have to keep up appearances. Just the wind, the roads and a warm ‘don't worry.’
