Sometimes the day seems frozen, like a scene from an old film - neither the sky nor the faces of passers-by nor even the familiar route home changes. Everything moves, but as if in the same frame. People exchange phrases like collectors exchange postcards - politely, out of habit.

And then, somewhere between the words, a heat suddenly appears - not summer heat, but an inner heat, the kind that rises from nowhere and makes you remember that everything is still alive. The world remains unchanged, but the colours become a little brighter, the sounds a little denser, the air a little thicker. And this warmth is enough to prevent you from dissolving into the identical clouds.
