Born With a Broken Heart

There are people who seem to be trying - really trying - to be ‘like everyone else.’ They go into relationships with the instruction ‘don't break,’ fix their bugs with meditation, read about generational trauma... And then they suddenly realise that all of this is just a costume that doesn't fit right anyway. Because inside, they are not of this earth, but have antennas - the kind that even love is transmitted to with noise in the signal.

This is exactly the feeling when you want to be soft, warm, understandable - but steel wiring still shows through. And all you can do is shrug your shoulders and say, ‘Sorry, that's how I am.’ It's sad, of course, but with a kind of honest warmth.
