Description
Tenderness in a pink mask - and in that same smile, a threat can be heard. It sounds like a diary entry written in the middle of the night by lamplight: comfortable clothes, gas, foil and baseball bats are mixed with almost comical decor - ‘pink cominiars’ - and suddenly it becomes clear that this is not a game. The atmosphere seems to balance between audacity and weary irony: threatening words go hand in hand with almost mundane references to therapy and a request to make a sandwich.
The vocals are like a conversation through a closed door: cold humour, fragile aggression and an unwillingness to put up with hypocrisy. There is no attempt to persuade with words here - only action, a scar as a seal, a scythe as an argument, but irony does not lose its place: ‘done for the girls’ and ‘done for hip-hop’, as if in a punk diary, where pride is mixed with weary mockery. The music leaves an aftertaste, like a dream after a long shift - a little anxious, a little childishly cheeky, and surprisingly lively.
