Zu viel

The world seems to have split in two - the sky above, concrete below, and between them, a trapped heart that is still trying to understand what it's all for. The words sound like both a confession and an accusation: it seems to be asking someone for salvation, but in reality it is simply trying to make sure that it has not gone mad on its own.

In this chaos, there is no place for beautiful phrases about faith and love - only a weary ‘I see paradise, but I walk on earth.’ The song smells of iron, cigarette smoke, and that feeling when the light of a lantern seems more honest than any god. Sad, loud, truthful. And for some reason, it makes it a little easier - which means I'm still alive.
