Description
Instability is now almost a new form of tenderness. When both are slightly skewed, with tangled thoughts and crumbs of self-irony in their voices, for some reason it becomes easier to breathe. The world presses down, makes noise, demands that you be ‘on your toes,’ but here you can just be. A little scattered, a little out of sorts, but next to someone who is also not perfect - and suddenly there is comfort in that.
It feels like dancing on a shaky floor, but you don't fall because someone is swaying in the same direction. They don't support you, they don't save you - they just stand beside you. And that seems to be the most stable form of love of all.
