My Love Is Easy

Somewhere between rain and thunder, calmness is born - not from humility, but from exhaustion. When all the storms inside have subsided, and there is simply no energy left to fight. There is no vengeance or pain in the voice, only a lightness that can only be achieved by those who have reached the edge and not fallen.

Love here is neither sugar nor tears. It is like a bullet shining in the sun, light but capable of burning through. Like a feather that stubbornly flies against the wind, simply because it can. Everything has long been let go: the voices in my head have quieted, the ghosts of the past are at the door, and inside, there is finally silence. The kind where even thunder sounds like applause for freedom.
