Hell or High Water

When it seems that life has decided to test your endurance - without warning, without a break, and without any guarantee that there will be an end. Waves crash one after another, and it's not even clear whether it's a storm or just an unusually long ebb tide. Everything around you seems to be testing your strength, and your energy seems to have run out yesterday. But somewhere inside, there is still a tiny glimmer of confidence: if you haven't drowned, it means you're still swimming. And even if the water is up to your throat, it's not hell. It's just high water. It will recede. Someday.
