Description
The scene is like something out of an old cabaret: bright lights, glitter, false eyelashes, ridiculously high heels. At first, it seems like a game, a masquerade, but at some point, something real sprouts in your heart - unexpected, forbidden, burning. It's funny and painful at the same time when ‘she’ turns out to be ‘them,’ and the feelings are suddenly no joke.
The music runs counter to the lyrics - cheerful, slightly mocking, as if winking at the audience. But beneath this ironic tinsel, you can hear the longing: the desire to cling on, to stay, to give everything, even yourself, for the sake of an image that will never become real. Andrew in a dress, Andrew on stage - and each verse seems to stroke the little wolf inside, who still reaches out.
In the end, what remains is this bittersweet feeling: like a mask and a performance, but inside - a real passion that has nowhere to go. The song is silly, almost comical, but it smells of real human vulnerability - like vintage perfume that has forgotten its owner's name.
