Opalite

Sometimes life behaves like an unedited draft - with crossed-out names, coffee stains, and a couple of poems written in the heat of the moment. At first, it seems that everything has collapsed again, that love is a one-way ticket. And then suddenly it becomes clear: the sky is no longer black, it's just made of opal - glowing softly from within. Mistakes become experience, loneliness becomes a respite, and the past ceases to be rubbish. Everything is still rumbling somewhere in the distance, but now the thunder sounds like a drum you can dance to.
