Description
It was as if summer itself had stumbled over its own promises - August suddenly became cool and wary, and there was a feeling in the air that something had been said wrong, but too quietly to be noticed right away. On the surface - a swimming pool, lights, beautiful reflections. Inside - a subtle chill from strangers' smiles, which seem to know more than they should.
In this story, everything looks like a game: a cat watches a bird, rain washes away words, and confessions sound equally empty, as if rewritten from a pre-written script. Even tragedy seems mundane here, as if it were part of the scenery - a car in a river, a surname in an obituary, a dry statement that ‘she will be missed.’ The music takes this tension and makes it almost familiar, like a background against which everyone understands everything but continues to ask, ‘Does she hate him now?’
