Description
The words sound like an old tape recorder in a bedroom, where someone pretends that it's all just a game - songs, makeup, dancing to other people's hits. But between the lines, it's not a game that comes through, but an attempt to grasp something real: a slightly cracked voice, smudged makeup, unstaged gestures.
This music has the scent of youth, when even mistakes seem beautiful and the future is easily imagined in the plural. It's about those moments when you don't want to be a perfect hero, but just that very song that people dance and sing to, believing that at least something in this world can still be changed.

On ira traîner ensemble puis coucher ensemble.
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah.
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah.

Hey, look at me, no don't stop.
The others will forget you.
I gave you everything the first time, because from the first time it seemed so true to me.
I try to avoid all the pitfalls.
If anyone is hiding somewhere, pretend you can help me.
I'm far from an angel and I want to be known as that song you danced to, that you sang to me.
Her flowing eyeshadow exudes the real thing.
I don't know how I'm going to get through this, but I know I'm going to do it.
Half-heartedly, I make her understand that it’s her.
Both hands on her bottom without my future is conjugated in the plural.
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah.
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah.
You pretend not to understand that we could change things.
Pinch me if I don't wake up, it'll be less bruising.
I write songs to tell him that they matter more than others.
And I know what will happen if we both meet again. We'll hang out together and then sleep together.
I know she knows the song.
Lying in front of the speakers, she plays two sound-sounds on a disc.
She does playbacks as if she were the singer dressed as in the war years.
I try to love him without hurting him and know that I am far from being an angel.
And I want to be known as that song that you danced to, that you sang to for me.
