Description

The soundtrack seems to be woven from nightmares and light at the same time: there is a drum march of otherworldly voices and flashes of hope hidden between the lines. The dark images are presented not with cold seriousness, but with such energy that hell turns into a noisy carnival, where demons march to ‘DAN DADAN’ and sing along to their own chains.

There is a strange warmth in this cacophony: behind the masks of monsters and phantoms, one can sense a thirst for rebirth, a desire to break free from the darkness and fly away - even with crooked wings. The song sounds like a battle with oneself, where sword blows are interspersed with unexpectedly tender memories. And in this turmoil, clarity suddenly emerges: life is an endless rhythm, both terrifying and beautiful at the same time, from which it is impossible to break away.

Lyrics and translation

Original

Playing cops and robbers 'neath Ginza signs

All who chance to prosper shall go blind

Won't you buy me a Ric to play

What I got ain't enough to pay

I'll play a riff

Plug me into Marshall, I'll blow out your window

And trip my way up to eternal heights

RAT and I will lay down and shake out your eardrums

A hit of this distortion makes me high

報酬は入社後並行線で

東京は愛せど何にも無い

領収書を書いて頂戴

税理士なんて就いて居ない 後楽園

I'll rip into those robes and pursue the Dharma

A Buddhist monk of my own would feel fine

Selflessness and cessation get you Nirvana

It Kurt would beat my Gretsch, I think I'd fly

将来僧に成って結婚して欲しい

毎晩寝具で遊戯するだけ

ピザ屋の彼女になってみたい

そしたらベンジー あたしをグレッチで殴って

I'm looking for a good way to fly

I'm searching for a way you can't buy

You know I know a kickin' way to die

It's rock and roll, martyrs keep the fans high

Still floating, as time rolls by
