Never Grow Up

Like an eternal teenage dream that has gone on too long. Here, love resembles Peter Pan and Wendy's game: attraction, quarrels, returns - everything goes round and round until broken clocks and compasses stubbornly prevent them from growing up. Every kiss seems like the last, but it is inevitably followed by another, and another, and another.

There is no malice in this sound - only a weary understanding that it is time to put an end to it. Not because the feelings have disappeared, but because it is too difficult to carry them through time. The farewell sounds soft, almost beautiful, like the phrase ‘the moon is especially beautiful tonight.’ And even if there is silence ahead, the memory that ‘we never grew up’ will remain alive - as touching as old photographs in a shoebox.
