Description
There is a sense of night in this sound, where instead of streetlights there is the light of a phone, and instead of everyday life there is a strange magic that no one but birds can hear. Everything is filled with the smell of salt, the quiet rustle of rain on the glass, and the memory of a touch that is no longer real, but rather a memory of ‘how it once was.’
The music holds between ‘it was safe’ and ‘it was wrong,’ between the warmth you want to drown in and the knowledge that it won't last forever. The track sounds like that very tremor in the air before parting: beautiful, gentle, and slightly painful, but still too real to look away.

Original
I leave my head, absorb the scent of your skin.
Place you in the vein of my new life.
We move in sync, only the birds will hear us sing.
Kissed under the glow of my former life.
Came home with two sides, thought I met a best but I miss you today.
Animals watch closely by my bed.
I leave my head, absorb the scent of your skin.
Special for a time but it wasn't right.
I was saved, wrapped in the touch you once bled.
I was saved from rosaries hung 'round my neck.
I was saved, wrapped in the touch you once bled.
I was saved from rosaries hung 'round my neck.
Waiting in the wings 'til you came by.
You catch my eye and my stomach sinks into my world.
Fills me up and shows me what could be.
Gives me a sign, something I can focus on.
Rain fall hits the window by our heads.
I took my time, let you slowly become mine.
Special for a time but it wasn't right.
I was saved, wrapped in the touch you once bled.
I was saved from rosaries hung 'round my neck.
I was saved, wrapped in the touch you once bled.
I was saved from rosaries hung 'round my neck.
I was saved, wrapped in the touch you once bled.
I was saved from rosaries hung 'round my neck.
I was saved, wrapped in the touch you once bled.
I was saved from rosaries hung 'round my neck.
