À la base c'est nous

Once upon a time, everything seemed simple: the metro until the last train, shared dreams and cardboard plans for a bright future. Then someone reached that future - but no longer together. And now success brings warmth, but not completely. There is money, Swiss watches, palm trees nearby... but in your head, there is only one thought: ‘comme c'est dommage’.

The track is not whining or pity, but that rare mixture of pride and sadness when you can be happy for someone else, even if it hurts a little. When you realise that ‘magic’ happened, just not with the right people. Life goes on, likes multiply, but inside - it's still the same ‘à la base, c'était nous’.
