GC FOREVER

The frosty air bites my cheeks, my old down jacket does not save me from hunger and emptiness, but in my head there is a rocket, assembled on my knee, to carry me away from the grey courtyard and the frozen bus stop. Back then, it seemed that songs and dreams were the only fuel, and that it would be enough to break through the sky.

Time, of course, has tested our strength: some have strayed from the path, some have dissolved into their ‘maybes’. But the stubborn ‘never say never’ still beats in time with the heart. There is no pathos here - just the habit of getting up after every fall.

And that ‘forever,’ once said in earnest in a small room, suddenly turned out to be eternal.
