The track sounds like a chronicle of a relationship where words have long since been scorched and the smoke has not yet cleared. Everything seems to hang by a thread: fragments of phrases, pauses instead of answers, the expectation that someone will eventually ‘repair’ the cracks. The music comes in waves - sometimes fragile, like glass after a blow, sometimes hot, like coals under the skin.
