Bitter Everyday

The cold spot in the middle of the lake is that feeling when you seem to be swimming further, but your breathing falters, and suddenly everything simple becomes too complicated. The world around you is also full of oddities: sushi from the supermarket, a motel key as a scalpel, cherry blossoms that you crash into head-on. And life, no matter how you look at it, stubbornly throws up surprises - a street singer with a gentle voice, a poster with her face and a completely different story. And all that remains is to row through this coolness, where sweetness gradually gives way to bitterness, but still - to swim on.
