Description
Every small town has that same rebellious route: a petrol station, an empty road and dawn breaking while you're in the car, not at home. Back then, chaos seemed like freedom, and risk seemed almost romantic.
Now everything is quieter, more familiar, even more comfortable... but my memory still conjures up the smell of smoke in the car, laughter for no reason, and the feeling that the whole world can be contained in one endless drive to nowhere. Sometimes I don't want to go back - not to the past, not home.
