Walls remember more than we would like. Even if we remove all the photographs, rearrange the furniture, and scrub the floor until it squeaks, the silence still sounds louder than the laughter of the past.

And even though love is long gone, and with it the familiar morning rituals and dancing among the unwashed dishes, there is still room inside. A spacious living area for someone who has long since become a ghost in this house.
