When your gaze still holds, but your eyes already give you away, it's time to run. You can whisper ‘I'm staying’ as much as you like, but the sparkle in your eyes is always more honest. And so it turns out that new encounters are not romantic, but a tiresome duty: learning someone else's scent again, trying on unfamiliar warmth again and pretending it's your own.

The song sounds like that moment when the past has not yet let go, and the future is already knocking on the door with someone else's hands and someone else's children. And there is nothing worse than seeing one person move on while the other is stuck in a loop of memories.
