Make Believe

Summer, which refuses to leave, and sticky air, saturated with something more than just heat. Seemingly simple kisses on the skin, but they sound like promises - slightly unclear, as if the radio is hissing on an old wave. Images flash through my mind - the evening, music louder than conversation, and that feeling of ‘2016’ when everything was easier, cleaner, freer. A little languid, a little naive, but that's the thrill of it - when a simple touch makes it seem like you can start over again.
