Sometimes ‘goodbye’ is just code for ‘five more minutes.’ He's already at the door, she gives him that look, and it seems like it's over, but no. They're stuck in the moment, like a GIF that's stuck on repeat: he's leaving, but he's not leaving; he's ready to go, but he stays. Everything is too hot to cool down and too familiar to end.

Temptation works two shifts here, seven days a week. It's a dance where every step is ‘goodbye’ and every turn is ‘stay.’ And even though the whole world outside is sleeping peacefully, these two have agreed to stay entre nosotros. Or maybe they haven't agreed. Maybe they just haven't said goodbye again.
